Our client is an international leader in the oil field services industry, poised for significant expansion in North America. With a robust track record in operational excellence, they are now looking to hire an experienced and proactive Accounting Manager to oversee the financial operations of their manufacturing unit in Houston. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled accounting professional to play a pivotal role in shaping the financial landscape of a rapidly growing business.
Role Overview:
As the Accounting Manager, you will take charge of all local accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with U.S. GAAP, while collaborating with the remote accounting team at the Dammam (Saudi Arabia) headquarters. Your expertise in Oracle ERP systems, strong internal controls knowledge, and experience in a manufacturing environment will be key in driving financial efficiency and business integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Operations & Reporting: Oversee accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and month-end closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements in line with U.S. GAAP and local regulations.
- Oracle ERP Management: Leverage Oracle ERP to maintain accounting records and track performance, working closely with the Dammam HQ team to optimize systems and streamline operations.
- Internal Controls & Compliance: Implement and maintain robust internal controls, ensure compliance with tax laws, and lead audits to mitigate risks.
- Business Integration: Support the integration of new operations into the company’s accounting framework, collaborating with cross-functional teams to standardize processes.
- Collaboration with Remote Teams: Serve as the liaison between the Houston office and the Dammam-based accounting team, ensuring smooth communication and efficient task delegation.
- Financial Insights: Provide actionable financial recommendations and insights to support local business decision-making. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance (a qualified US CPA, CMA or MBA is highly preferred).
- Experience: At least 5 years of accounting / finance experience of which 3 years minimum within a manufacturing environment
- Systems Skills: proficiency in Oracle ERP systems is highly preferred, but flexible
- Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding and practical experience with U.S. GAAP and internal control frameworks.
- Location & Eligibility: Must already be based in the U.S., preferably in Houston, and possess valid documentation to work in the U.S.
