Job description

Our client is an international pharmaceutical group having over 70 years of expertise on innovative products.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Graduate (UAE National) to support various finance functions, ensuring accurate processing, compliance, and efficient coordination across teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Receivable & Payable Support
    • Follow up with customers for payments and coordinate with the Accounts Receivable team.
    • Support Accounts Payable activities, including invoice tracking, fixed cost payments, intercompany charges, and marketing expenses.
    • Match invoices with POs and supporting documents; ensure timely processing and payment of invoices.
  • Finance Operations & Reporting
    • Coordinate with the other business units for smooth finance operations.
    • Support month-end closing, cash management, accruals, and provisions.
    • Assist in preparing financial statements and coordinating audits.
  • Compliance & Continuous Improvement
    • Ensure timely fulfillment of regulatory and internal compliance requirements.
    • Contribute to the improvement of financial reporting processes.
  • Ad Hoc Tasks
    • Participate in extra special assignments and projects as directed by management.
Profile description

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Tax or other related fields
  • Any work experience (internship, employment) in finance / accounting would be considered as an advantage
  • Successful applicants should be UAE Nationals with a family book
  • Solid interest in finance, audit, tax, and internal control topics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and drive insights
  • Effective planning and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and contribute to several projects simultaneously
  • High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools

Accounting & Tax Supervisor

Position Overview:Based in Brussels, this role involves overseeing a team of four accountants, ensuring optimal workload distribution, productivity, and compliance with internal procedures and company policies. Supervise and support a team of accountants, providing coaching, evaluation, and motivation, and ensuring their continuous training and adherence to standards.Monitor planning and productivity of team members, check workload, and ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.Review the accounts of the firm’s clients, including in-depth examination of VAT and tax returns, and coordinate and follow up on client audits.Manage full client portfolios through technical expertise and teamwork, maintaining high-quality standards.Coordinate the onboarding of new clients and manage ongoing customer relationships, expectations, complaints, and escalations, ensuring timely communication.Drive standardization of procedures and process improvements based on thorough knowledge of systems and accounting best practices.Act as the key reference for technical and procedural questions within the team.Key Requirements:Fluency in English and either French or Dutch is mandatory.Bachelor’s in Accounting and a Master’s in Tax (or equivalent qualifications).Minimum of five years’ experience in accounting firms, with expertise spanning general accounting, tax accounting, VAT compliance, and audit planning.Proven ability in people management, coaching, talent development, and cultivating a productive team culture.Capability to manage client relationships and contribute to solution-driven process improvements within the team.
