Senior Accountant (KSA)

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to become an integral part of the finance team in Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing a range of critical accounting functions, ensuring full compliance with local laws and regulations, and supporting strategic decision-making through precise financial reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Operations
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable
- Maintain fixed asset records and manage depreciation
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing in line with labor laws
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under Saudi SOCPA and IFRS standards
- Conduct variance analysis versus budgets and forecasts
- Deliver financial insights and management reports to support business decisions
- Perform general ledger account reconciliations
Regulatory Compliance & Taxation
- Ensure compliance with all Saudi financial regulations, including VAT, Zakat, and WHT
- Prepare and submit accurate statutory filings and tax returns
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure smooth and timely audits
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist in preparing the annual budget and regular forecasts
- Monitor budget performance and suggest efficiency improvements
Project Accounting
- Track project costs and revenues with precision
- Produce financial reports for individual projects
- Ensure accounting compliance at the project level
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, ideally in Saudi Arabia
- A hands-on and relevant exposure to IFRS, and ideally IFRS16
- Applicants with an experience in Saudi SOCPA, IFRS, VAT, Zakat, and local financial regulations will be considered as a priority
- Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP and Microsoft Excel
- Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English is mandatory
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the capability to work in a multinational group
