The Manager, Compensation and Benefits is responsible for the strategic and operational management of compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they remain aligned with market benchmarks and organizational goals. This position maintains internal equity through job classification systems, regular benchmarking, and data-driven program enhancements. Day-to-day responsibilities focus on developing and managing compensation structures, administering payroll and employee benefits, and ensuring policy compliance and effective use of the HR Information System (HRIS).
- Lead the maintenance of job grading and ensure equity using standardized job evaluation methods.
- Conduct frequent market surveys and statistical analysis to keep compensation offerings competitive.
- Design and implement performance-based pay frameworks; manage annual salary reviews and promotions.
- Oversee employee benefits administration, including insurance programs, prompt payroll submissions, and issue resolution.
- Manage annual payroll budget processes, including forecasting for headcount, benefits, and related costs in collaboration with HR and Finance.
- Support organizational performance management processes by ensuring fair, goal-aligned evaluations.
- Review, update, and ensure compliance of all compensation and benefits-related HR policies with local laws and internal governance.
- Act as the lead for HRIS activities, system upgrade projects, and vendor management; train internal teams on system usage.
- Maintain relationships with consultants, brokers, and systems providers to support compensation and benefits initiatives.
- Prepare accurate reports and executive summaries for leadership, as well as individual compensation statements for employees.
The role operates in a collaborative, fast-paced environment prioritizing innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement, and makes a key contribution to risk management, data-driven decision-making, and global HR strategy alignment.
Profile Description:
The ideal candidate is an accomplished and analytical HR professional with a strong background in compensation and benefits, possessing exceptional expertise in the design, implementation, and governance of remuneration programs. Bringing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field—preferably complemented by a professional HR certification—this individual demonstrates deep understanding of job classification systems, compensation structure development, and payroll management. Experience in the financial services sector is regarded as a valuable asset.
- Demonstrates proven success in senior HR roles, with 5–7 years of progressive experience specializing in benefits administration and total rewards strategy.
- Exhibits mastery of employee benefits administration and payroll management, as well as advanced proficiency in HR information systems (HRIS) and Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS).
- Has substantial experience with statistical analysis and data-driven approaches to inform compensation models and budgeting decisions.
- Brings a global HR mindset, with strong capabilities to adapt strategies for complex, multinational environments and support organizational change management initiatives.
- Excels in processing confidential information with integrity and tact, delivering crisp, clear communications in both verbal and written English.
- Demonstrates an analytical approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while remaining agile under pressure to meet deadlines.
