Data Governance Specialist
Scope of Position: Responsible for supporting and advancing the organization's data governance initiatives within the Data & Analytics team.
- Data Governance Support: Contribute to the development and execution of frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures for robust data governance.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with diverse teams to ensure data policies, procedures, and standards are consistently applied across organizational domains.
- Compliance Monitoring: Assist in keeping track of regulatory requirements related to data governance and help verify that activities remain compliant.
- Strategy Implementation: Support the rollout and ongoing monitoring of data governance strategies, policies, and procedures organization-wide.
- Issue and Exception Management: Participate in the review and validation of resolutions for data-related issues and exceptions, as well as monitor ongoing management processes.
- Awareness and Communication: Promote data governance principles throughout the company, participate in developing awareness campaigns, and assist in organizing relevant trainings.
Key Knowledge Areas:
- Comprehensive understanding of Data Governance and the Data Management Body of Knowledge (DMBoK).
- Familiarity with relevant data regulations and standards including ISO27K, ISO38505, ISO8000, ISO42001, and EU data strategy regulations.
- Experience in drafting and implementing data policies and standards, covering data lifecycle, quality, and security.
- Proven ability to engage with stakeholders, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively while supporting organizational data initiatives.
- Ability to operate with autonomy in a diverse and inclusive environment focused on data-driven objectives.

- Exceptionally communicative: Communicates clearly and openly with a wide range of stakeholders, presenting information in an accessible manner.
- Promoter of diversity and inclusion: Listens respectfully and seeks to understand and integrate diverse perspectives into daily work and broader data governance initiatives.
- Autonomous and accountable: Comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities, and taking ownership for seeing initiatives through to completion.
- Compliance-focused: Possesses a solid grasp of relevant regulatory environments and is diligent in helping organizations align with evolving compliance requirements, particularly those related to EU data regulations.
- Experience with frameworks and standards: Exposure to or interest in advanced standards such as ISO38505, ISO8000, or ISO42001 is valued, along with prior involvement in developing or implementing policies and standards regarding data lifecycle, quality, or security.
- Experience in policy and awareness: Capable of drafting clear policies, contributing to strategy implementation, and promoting data governance awareness through campaigns or trainings.
- Language proficiency: Demonstrates full professional fluency in English, ensuring seamless communication across the organization.
