Role Overview

Lead the corporate tax advisory for Global Markets, Corporate Finance, Transaction Banking, Private Banking, and Investment Group. Main point of contact for tax on market transactions and M&A. Ensure tax compliance, risk mitigation, and efficiency across jurisdictions. Support the Group Head of Taxation on market-related matters and projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on tax matters for markets and investment transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws across all jurisdictions.
  • Maintain and update tax governance policies.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and manage documentation.
  • Liaise with external advisors and tax authorities.
  • Provide expert analysis and support to finance and business units.
  • Oversee tax disclosure with financial reporting teams.
  • Address direct/corporate tax in GCC and internationally.
  • Drive process improvement and risk management.

Profile Required

  • Education: First & second degree + CPA / ACA or equivalent.
  • Experience: 10+ years in tax (corporate, international, transactional); 6+ years in banking/capital markets; experience in at least 2 continents.
  • Skills: Stakeholder management, tax systems (Oracle/SAP), communication, problem-solving, adaptability, negotiation, and precision

FP&A Analyst – Financial Planning & Reporting

FP&A Analyst – Financial Planning & ReportingThis position is part of the FP&A team in Brussels, reporting to the FP&A Manager and closely collaborating with the CFO, Finance Management Team, Actuarial, and Underwriting departments. The FP&A Analyst supports the organization’s financial performance and planning cycle, particularly in the Property & Casualty and Marine insurance segments.Preparing financial plans, budgets, forecasts, and management reports with high accuracy and in line with group objectives.Supporting automation and continuous improvement of financial reporting tools and processes, including Power BI.Compiling management, statutory, and regulatory financial statements for the legal entity, ensuring compliance with relevant standards such as GAAP.Delivering relevant financial analysis and commentary, especially with regard to insurance sector performance.Contributing to strategic finance projects and ensuring their alignment with the wider business strategy.Working with subject matter experts from finance and related functions to promote best practices in the FP&A and finance team.Day-to-day work requires the use of Excel, Power BI, accounting software such as Oracle and CODA, and the application of advanced financial reporting and budgeting practices. Fluency in English is required as this is the working language across teams. The role allows efficient hybrid remote and in-office work and expects effective collaboration with other business units.

Junior Legal Counsel

General Purpose of the Role:The role involves providing legal advice upon request, primarily related to insurance activities but also encompassing any legal matters directly or indirectly connected to the business. The aim is to resolve legal issues and ensure compliance with legislative developments, including new laws, emerging legal matters, and the launch of new products.Key Responsibilities:Monitor and analyze all legal aspects relevant to the company’s operations, including contract law, corporate law, labor law (individual and collective), insurance law, and tax matters related to insurance.Oversee the company’s legal secretariat (organizing board meetings and general assemblies, drafting minutes, handling official publications, legal memos, etc.).Provide legal advice to internal departments on matters within the Legal Department’s scope.Conduct legal research on various topics.Manage all litigation files (excluding labor law cases) in coordination with the company’s external legal counsel.Report regularly to the Head of Legal.Participate in internal, national, or international working groups set up by the company or headquarters, and attend ongoing legal training.Contribute to the development of new insurance products.Ensure compliance with internal control procedures, regulatory obligations, ethics, data privacy, and medical confidentiality.Human and Collaborative Skills:Actively engage in continuous legal training in coordination with the company’s training program.Foster and maintain effective collaboration with other departments and group entities.
