Role Overview
Lead the corporate tax advisory for Global Markets, Corporate Finance, Transaction Banking, Private Banking, and Investment Group. Main point of contact for tax on market transactions and M&A. Ensure tax compliance, risk mitigation, and efficiency across jurisdictions. Support the Group Head of Taxation on market-related matters and projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on tax matters for markets and investment transactions.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws across all jurisdictions.
- Maintain and update tax governance policies.
- Monitor regulatory changes and manage documentation.
- Liaise with external advisors and tax authorities.
- Provide expert analysis and support to finance and business units.
- Oversee tax disclosure with financial reporting teams.
- Address direct/corporate tax in GCC and internationally.
- Drive process improvement and risk management.
Profile Required
- Education: First & second degree + CPA / ACA or equivalent.
- Experience: 10+ years in tax (corporate, international, transactional); 6+ years in banking/capital markets; experience in at least 2 continents.
- Skills: Stakeholder management, tax systems (Oracle/SAP), communication, problem-solving, adaptability, negotiation, and precision
