Head of Accounting
Reporting directly to the CFO, you will take full ownership of the accounting activities for four companies. Your key responsibilities include:
- Managing the end-to-end accounting in compliance with Belgian regulations;
- Leading and supporting a dedicated accounting team;
- Monitoring, reconciling, and analyzing balance sheet accounts;
- Cash management and related reporting;
- Preparing monthly closings in accordance with group standards;
- Providing quarterly reports to the international group;
- Performing the year-end closing and preparing the annual accounts;
- Preparing and reviewing VAT and corporate tax returns;
- Liaising with external auditors and preparing audit documentation;
- Producing various financial reports for management purposes.
- Degree in Accounting, Business Economics, or Commercial Sciences;
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in a similar accounting position;
- Strong command of Belgian accounting principles and tax legislation;
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently;
- Proven experience in team management and leadership;
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact across all levels of the organization;
- You work on-site from Evere;
- You are bilingual in Dutch and French, with a good command of English.
