Job description

As a Junior Accounting Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the daily accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. Your main duties include:

  • Daily encoding of financial transactions related to technical accounting activities.
  • Maintaining the integrity of accounting records to guarantee completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Supporting an efficient credit management process for accounts receivable by monitoring outstanding balances and facilitating follow-up as needed.

Your work involves collaborating with internal teams and handling sensitive data with accuracy and discretion. Proficiency in fund accounting and accounts receivable is essential. You will regularly use Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze financial information. An understanding of credit analysis, financial data management, and familiarity with tools like Oracle Financials or Hyperion are considered valuable assets.

Fluency in French is required for both written and verbal communication, with operational proficiency in English and knowledge of Dutch viewed as a plus.

  • Customer-Focused Attitude: You possess strong customer service skills, communicating with clarity and tact—both verbally and in writing.
  • Tech-Savvy with Financial Tools: You are at ease with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and have a quick grasp of new financial systems; familiarity with Oracle Financials or Hyperion is a plus.
  • Credit Management Savvy: A basic understanding of credit control processes and credit analysis enables you to support efficient receivables operations.
  • Multilingual Communication: Fluency in French, with operational proficiency in English (B2 or higher), ensures you can handle internal and external communications; additional Dutch skills are considered a valuable asset.
