Job description

Role Overview: This position involves supporting industrial automation projects with a strong emphasis on Siemens S7 PLC programming and HMI development. The role is focused on ensuring effective process control and integration with Operational Technology (OT) networks within industrial environments.

  • Assist in the design, configuration, and commissioning of automation systems using Siemens SIMATIC STEP 7 and related HMI solutions.
  • Contribute to the development, troubleshooting, and maintenance of industrial automation and process control systems.
  • Support implementation of industrial network protocols and help maintain reliable OT network connectivity for automated systems.
  • Document system architectures and provide technical assistance for installation, upgrades, and modifications of automation platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automation solutions with plant operations.
  • Participate in basic wireless networking activities within the context of automation projects under professional guidance.

Objectives: The goal is to deliver high-quality automation solutions that improve process efficiency, reliability, and connectivity across manufacturing or processing environments, leveraging industry-standard automation tools and protocols.

Fluency in English is required for daily technical communication and documentation.

Profile description

We are looking for candidates who are passionate about industrial automation and enjoy tackling technical challenges in process control and operational technology environments. The ideal person is enthusiastic to learn, naturally curious about how complex systems work, and has a practical mindset for finding solutions.

  • Qualifications: A solid foundation in engineering, with hands-on experience or training involving Siemens S7 PLC and HMI development, ideally gained through previous industrial automation projects.
  • Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of OT (Operational Technology) networks, with a particular appreciation for the intricacies of industrial network protocols and wireless networking in manufacturing or process industries.
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical thinkers who approach technical obstacles methodically and are eager to apply their skills in real-world, often fast-changing scenarios.
  • Collaborative Nature: Team players who communicate effectively and are receptive to feedback, readily collaborating with colleagues from diverse technical backgrounds.
  • Initiative & Adaptability: Individuals who are proactive, eager to take on new responsibilities, and adapt quickly to evolving project requirements or technologies.
  • Language Skills: Proficient in English, able to confidently understand complex documentation and participate fully in technical discussions and meetings.
