Cloud Platform Engineer
Position Overview
As a Cloud Engineer, you will assume a pivotal role in the oversight and optimization of the cloud infrastructure, ensuring the utmost security, reliability, and scalability of the fintech cloud platform. Your primary responsibilities will involve the proficient management of the existing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) while strategically planning for the expansion to additional cloud providers such as Huawei Cloud, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Azure.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Management:
● Take charge of administering and upkeeping the cloud infrastructure, currently hosted on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and strategically plan for future expansion to cloud providers like Huawei Cloud, GCP, and Azure.
● Monitor and fine-tune cloud resources to guarantee both cost-efficiency and optimal performance.
Kubernetes and Microservices:
● Oversee the deployment, scaling, and maintenance of microservices within Kubernetes clusters.
● Implement industry best practices for fault tolerance, load balancing, and scaling strategies.
Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:
● Develop and sustain on-premises disaster recovery solutions.
● Execute backup and data recovery plans to ensure the integrity of data and uninterrupted business continuity.
Security and Compliance:
● Implement and vigilantly monitor security measures to safeguard sensitive financial data.
● Assure compliance with financial regulations across all operational countries.
Multi-Cloud Strategy:
● Strategize and execute the expansion to multiple cloud providers, encompassing Huawei Cloud, GCP, and Azure.
● Uphold a multi-cloud strategy to bolster redundancy and scalability.
Collaboration and Integration:
● Foster collaboration with internal teams, including development and operations, to ensure the seamless integration of cloud-based services.
● Work collaboratively with external partners, such as banks and payment providers, to facilitate smooth transactions.
Documentation and Training:
● Maintain exhaustive documentation of cloud infrastructure and operational procedures.
● Provide training and support to team members for effective management of cloud resources.
Monitoring and Optimization:
● Implement observability tools for the continuous monitoring of the health and performance of cloud services.
● Continuously optimize cloud resources and associated costs.
Qualifications:
● Demonstrated track record with over 10 years of experience.
● Minimum 5 Years' Banking & Finance Experience
● Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
● Proven expertise in managing cloud infrastructure, with a focus on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and familiarity with Huawei Cloud, GCP, and Azure.
● Robust knowledge of Kubernetes and microservices deployment.
● Experience in disaster recovery planning and implementation.
● In-depth understanding of security and compliance in the financial industry.
● Experience with multi-cloud strategies and executing cloud expansion.
● Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
● Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
● Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus.
The ideal candidate is a true passionate and hardcore hands-on individual with proved track of migration, Cloud Infrastructure Design and Solution implementation. An architect mind with a strong current hands-on experience.
