Position Overview: This senior-level role leads the marketing and communications function for an Abu Dhabi-based company serving the Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, and Technology services sectors focused on EPC projects. The position has direct responsibility for the UAE market, with the objective to design, execute, and oversee impactful B2B marketing campaigns and strategic events, as well as to manage internal communications and key stakeholder relationships.

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive B2B marketing strategies aligned with business goals and the regional energy sector landscape.
  • Campaign Leadership: Coordinate the creation, execution, and measurement of integrated marketing campaigns—digital, print, and in-person—across the UAE.
  • Event Management: Plan and manage industry events, exhibitions, and corporate functions to position the company as a leader within the energy sector.
  • Internal Communications: Oversee internal communications initiatives, ensuring consistent messaging and engagement across business functions and for key events.
  • Stakeholder Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients, industry partners, senior leadership, and other stakeholders relevant to the EPC and Oil & Gas markets.
  • Function Building: As the primary role in the department, set up foundational processes, systems, and potentially recruit team members as the department grows.
  • Market Expertise: Utilize in-depth knowledge of the UAE market and energy sector trends to drive marketing success.

This role requires a minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in B2B marketing within the energy sector, extensive UAE market knowledge, and full professional proficiency in English. Arabic language skills are advantageous but not essential.

  • Extensive B2B Marketing Experience: Proven track record in planning and executing sophisticated marketing strategies specific to industrial, energy, or technology sectors. Ability to translate business objectives into impactful campaigns is essential.
  • Strategic Thinker: Demonstrated ability to design and implement comprehensive marketing and communication plans, aligning with broader business goals and navigating nuanced market landscapes.
  • Internal Communications Expertise: Strong background in managing large-scale internal events and fostering engagement across diverse stakeholder groups, ensuring alignment, clarity, and enthusiasm within teams.
  • Stakeholder Management: Adept at building influential relationships across all tiers of the organisation and with external partners. The right candidate has a collaborative mindset and the credibility to engage C-suite, technical teams, and clients alike.
  • Relevant Energy Sector Knowledge: Direct experience within the oil & gas, manufacturing, or technology services for EPC is highly valued, coupled with a deep understanding of sector-specific challenges and opportunities.
  • Market Insight: Comprehensive knowledge of the UAE’s business culture and market dynamics, enabling the creation of locally resonant campaigns and events that reflect the region’s distinct environment.
  • Leadership and Self-Starter Attitude: Candidates should be highly proactive, comfortable being the primary point of accountability, and eager to shape a new function with a long-term strategic outlook.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptionally articulate in English, both written and spoken, with an ability to convey complex concepts in a compelling, concise manner. Arabic language skills are appreciated but not mandatory.
  • Experience Level: At least 10 years’ progressive experience in similar roles, ensuring readiness to operate and influence at senior management levels from day one.
