Role Overview – Claims Handler

As a Claims Handler (material damages), you play a key role in supporting and compensating accident victims. Your tasks will include:

  • Receiving and opening new claims files, updating records, and taking the necessary steps for well-informed decision-making
  • Assessing damage and setting technical reserves
  • Managing incoming correspondence and follow-up actions to ensure proper case handling
  • Making decisions regarding compensation eligibility and recovering costs when possible
  • Handling legal procedures and liaising with appointed lawyers to defend the organization's interests
  • Continuously developing and maintaining your technical knowledge

Team & Onboarding

You will join a team of 19 French- and Dutch-speaking claims professionals. Your direct supervisor is experienced and highly knowledgeable, ensuring personalized support throughout your onboarding. You'll benefit from:

Profile

  • Degree in law, insurance, or equivalent professional experience
  • Native-level proficiency in Dutch (C2), with excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Good understanding of French
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and committed
  • Experience in handling auto insurance claims is a strong asset
