Role Overview – Claims Handler
As a Claims Handler (material damages), you play a key role in supporting and compensating accident victims. Your tasks will include:
- Receiving and opening new claims files, updating records, and taking the necessary steps for well-informed decision-making
- Assessing damage and setting technical reserves
- Managing incoming correspondence and follow-up actions to ensure proper case handling
- Making decisions regarding compensation eligibility and recovering costs when possible
- Handling legal procedures and liaising with appointed lawyers to defend the organization's interests
- Continuously developing and maintaining your technical knowledge
Team & Onboarding
You will join a team of 19 French- and Dutch-speaking claims professionals. Your direct supervisor is experienced and highly knowledgeable, ensuring personalized support throughout your onboarding. You'll benefit from:

Profile
- Degree in law, insurance, or equivalent professional experience
- Native-level proficiency in Dutch (C2), with excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Good understanding of French
- Organized, detail-oriented, and committed
- Experience in handling auto insurance claims is a strong asset
