Platform Engineer (AWS Cloud)
- Infrastructure Scaling and Maintenance: Design, deploy, and manage scalable, highly available, and resilient systems on AWS, with a focus on performance and security.
- Event-Driven Architecture: Enhance and maintain our event-driven platform architecture on AWS, ensuring that systems communicate efficiently and reliably.
- DevOps and Automation: Develop and implement DevOps best practices, automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment pipelines, and monitoring for seamless operations.
- Monitoring and Incident Management: Implement comprehensive monitoring solutions, manage system health, and quickly respond to incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum data integrity.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends, evaluate new technologies, and bring innovative solutions to continually improve our platform's capabilities.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in platform engineering, with a focus on cloud infrastructure and event-driven systems, preferably in the healthcare domain.
- Deep experience with AWS services (Lambda, SQS, SNS, Fargate, etc.) and a thorough understanding of scalable, distributed systems.
- Proficient in TypeScript or a similar language, with an emphasis on building and maintaining infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
- Proven experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, or similar), as well as logging and monitoring tools like CloudWatch, Datadog, or Prometheus.
- Knowledge of security best practices, especially as they apply to healthcare data solutions (HIPAA compliance is a plus).
