The Director of Information Technology is a senior leadership position responsible for creating and executing both short- and long-term IT strategies that align with the overall goals of the organization. The role focuses on leading digital transformation, optimizing IT operations, ensuring service delivery, and maintaining asset management practices. The Director also manages IT security, regulatory compliance, data management, and drives continuous improvements across business processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead digital transformation and innovation initiatives.
  • Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Manage the IT budget to ensure financial efficiency and sustainability.
  • Oversee day-to-day IT operations, including infrastructure, applications, and projects.
  • Evaluate and approve IT installations, upgrades, and maintenance plans.
  • Monitor and review IT performance, including infrastructure and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations such as DoE, HSE, and ADDA.
  • Audit and improve IT systems, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
  • Assess technology risks and ensure business continuity plans are in place.
  • Manage recruitment, training, and performance of IT staff.
  • Oversee IT service desk, project development, and team performance.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and key stakeholders.

  • Internal: Collaborates with senior leadership, departmental teams, and staff across various departments.
  • External: Works with IT service providers, regulatory bodies, and committees.


Performance Metrics:

  • Successful implementation of new technology initiatives.
  • IT network uptime and reliability.
