Senior Operations Officer – Corporate Actions

This position is responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of corporate actions events related to listed securities. The role focuses on ensuring accurate processing of both mandatory and voluntary events such as dividends, stock splits, mergers, and tender offers.

  • Monitor, track, and process corporate actions from event announcement through execution and settlement, ensuring all actions are completed within established market deadlines.
  • Manage client notifications by communicating relevant event details, capturing instructions, and confirming elections.
  • Oversee timely entitlement distributions and update cash/position records, including reconciliation and settlement coordination with counterparties.
  • Address inquiries from custodians, issuers, counterparties, and internal teams with a high degree of accuracy and responsiveness.
  • Adhere to internal controls, market practices, and regulatory requirements (e.g., SLA adherence, cut-offs, CSDR compliance).
  • Produce and maintain dashboards, activity reports, and key operational metrics for management review.

A successful incumbent is expected to utilize strong knowledge of post-trade operations and standard settlement messaging formats like SWIFT MT56x and MT54x. The position also demands proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reporting and data management, alongside the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and robust operational audit practices are essential for effective risk mitigation. Fluency in English is essential for daily communications and documentation.
