Momenteel hebben wij een fantastische kans voor een Accountant om het team van een innovatief bedrijf in Hasselt te versterken. Dit bedrijf is een wereldleider in het aanbieden van cutting-edge software en hardwareoplossingen. Ze zijn op zoek naar een ervaren Accountant om hun financiële team te ondersteunen en de boekhoudprocessen verder te optimaliseren.

Jouw functie:

Als Accountant ben je verantwoordelijk voor het beheer van de boekhouding en het ondersteunen van het finance team. Je taken zullen onder andere bestaan uit:

• Het opvolgen van en het beheren van de AP/AR/GL boekhouding en bankafschriften
• Maandafsluitingen, analytische boekhouding, reconciliaties en loonreconciliaties
• Het opstellen van balans- en rapportages
• Het tijdig indienen van btw-aangiften, loonboekingen en belastingaangiften
• Het coördineren van de samenwerking met externe auditors tijdens de jaarafsluitingen
• Het ondersteunen van de CFO bij financiële rapportages en analyses
• Het bijdragen aan de implementatie en optimalisatie van nieuwe systemen en processen

Profielbeschrijving

Jouw profiel:

• Je hebt een bachelor in accountancy en minstens 5 jaar werkervaring in de boekhouding
• Je hebt uitgebreide kennis van BGAAP en IFRS
• Je hebt ervaring met het beheren van de algemene boekhouding en het afsluitproces
• Kennis van directe en indirecte belastingen is een plus
• Ervaring met ERP-systemen en geavanceerde Excel-vaardigheden zijn vereist; PowerBI is een plus
• Je spreekt vloeiend Nederlands en hebt een goede kennis van Engels
• Je werkt nauwkeurig, zelfstandig en hebt oog voor detail
• Je hebt een analytische, kritische en hands-on werkmentaliteit

General Accountant – Oracle ERP & UK/IFRS/BE GAAP

Key Responsibilities:Oversee and execute general accounting operations, including accurate management of accounts payable and monthly/annual closing processes.Ensure timely and compliant preparation of VAT declarations and coordinate with external service providers on financial matters.Utilize and manage workflows within the Oracle ERP system, ensuring integrity of accounting data and process efficiency.Apply practical knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and BE GAAP standards within daily accounting activities and reporting.Participate in the automation and optimization of accounting and payroll processes, including follow-up of payroll transactions and implementation of improvements.Maintain strict adherence to financial deadlines, specifically the monthly closing and the year-end closing at March 31.Scope:General accounting tasks across an international environment, with focus on group reporting and compliance.Close interaction with internal teams and external fiduciaries for process optimization and data validation.Languages: Primary business language: English. Junior Accountant – Process Automation & Optimization

Position Overview:This role is responsible for supporting the Financial Controller by combining bookkeeping duties with process automation and optimization initiatives. The Junior Accountant will focus substantially on automating workflows and streamlining internal accounting processes within a 6-month contract, potentially leading to a permanent position.Main Duties:Lead or assist in process improvement projects, such as analyzing and redesigning expense reimbursement workflows.Research and implement automation tools to increase efficiency across accounting functions.Develop scripts and automation solutions, primarily using Python, with possible involvement in VBA-based projects, to reduce repetitive manual tasks.Support daily bookkeeping activities (including general ledger, financial statement preparation, and reconciliations) during peak periods or team absences.Contribute to ongoing enhancements in internal controls and overall financial operations.Scope and Focus:Approximately 70% of responsibilities revolve around process optimization and automation.Remainder devoted to traditional bookkeeping tasks.Expected to work 37.5 hours per week on a 6-month contract with potential for extension or permanence.Technical & Functional Requirements:Python programming skills are essential, particularly for automation. Position Overview:As Team Lead Accounting & Administration in Insurance sector, you oversee and optimize the accounting and administrative operations associated with both Life and Non-Life reinsurance activities.
