ey Responsibilities:

  • Participate in presales meetings to understand customer needs and create network designs
  • Design simple and complex network solutions, working with network architects
  • Validate technical aspects of quotes from the sales team
  • Deploy and configure LAN infrastructure (switches, access points, routers, firewalls)
  • Set up monitoring systems for network performance tracking
  • Provide Level 3 support to the support team and troubleshoot network issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (UC, video, IOT, WAN) on network requirements
  • Monitor LAN performance, apply fixes, and perform regular maintenance
  • Manage lifecycle of LAN devices (hardware and software)
  • Optimize network monitoring systems for proactive issue detection
Profielbeschrijving
  • Candidate Profile:
    • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
    • Languages: Native Dutch speaker with professional proficiency in French and/or English
    • Experience: 3-5 years of LAN engineering or network administration experience
    • Ideal: Knowledge or experience (even passive) in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC)
    • Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn
    • Adaptable, flexible, and able to work in dynamic environments
    • Proactive, with the ability to take initiative and drive change
    • Out-of-the-box thinker with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Required Skills:
    • Experience with wireless networking (Cisco, HP, Fortinet)
    • Familiarity with Network Access Control (Cisco ISE, HP ClearPass, FortiNAC)
    • Knowledge of switching technologies (VLAN, Dot1Q, Spanning Tree, LACP)
    • Experience with routing protocols (MPLS, BGP, OSPF, QoS)
    • Exposure to Fortigate firewalls or similar security solutions
    • Strong troubleshooting and monitoring skills
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Experience with multiple wireless vendors
    • Knowledge of basic automation (Python, Ansible, XML, JSON)
    • Certifications such as CCNA, HCIA, NSE, or equivalent
  • Personal Traits:
    • Autonomous, self-motivated, and organized
    • Customer-focused, able to manage expectations
    • Team player with good communication skills
    • Entrepreneurial mindset, adaptable, and proactive in identifying business opportunities
