Senior Financial Controller
Location: Dubai
We are partnering with a well-established financial services and insurance group in the GCC to appoint a Senior Financial Controller.
This is a key role within the Finance function, offering exposure to financial reporting, regulatory reporting, solvency monitoring, group reporting, audit management, and strategic finance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare annual and interim financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and disclosure requirements.
- Coordinate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Manage external audit activities and act as the primary contact for auditors.
- Support the preparation and submission of group reporting packages.
- Reconcile intercompany balances and support consolidation activities.
- Prepare and review regulatory and financial returns.
- Monitor solvency and capital adequacy requirements and support management reporting.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, finance policies, and governance frameworks.
- Contribute to process improvement and finance transformation initiatives.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CPA, CA, or CMA preferred.
- 5-10 years of experience in finance, financial control, or financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial statement preparation.
- Experience within the insurance sector is highly desirable.
- Exposure to regulatory reporting, solvency monitoring, or capital management is advantageous.
- Previous experience working with external auditors and group reporting requirements.
- Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
