Job description

Als Senior Douane Declarant ben je verantwoordelijk voor de volledige afhandeling van douaneaangiften, waaronder import, export en transit. Je beheert ook complexe douaneregelingen zoals wederinvoer, tijdelijke invoer en fiscale vertegenwoordiging. Dankzij jouw diepgaande kennis van UCC/DWU-regelgeving zorg je voor correcte opvolging van alle vereiste procedures.

  • Opstellen en indienen van douaneaangiften voor diverse goederenstromen.
  • Zelfstandig beheren van douaneprocessen van A tot Z, inclusief bijzondere regelingen.
  • Optimaliseren en automatiseren van processen rondom douaneaangiften.
  • Onderhouden van operationeel contact met klanten en douaneautoriteiten.
  • Coördineren van AEO-conforme processen binnen de organisatie.
  • Werken met systemen zoals CargoWise, Excel, en diverse douane webapplicaties (NCTS, Tarbel, POUS).
  • Documentbeheer en procesoptimalisatie voor compliance en efficiëntie.

Je draagt bij aan het continue verbeteren van douaneprocessen en volgt wijzigingen in relevante wetgevingen nauwgezet op. Dagelijkse werkzaamheden omvatten intensief gebruik van digitale tools en operationele afstemming met verschillende interne en externe stakeholders. Talenkennis in Nederlands en Engels is essentieel, Frans is een plus.

Wij zoeken kandidaten die met een sterke analytische blik en diepgaande vakkennis onze douaneprocessen naar een hoger niveau tillen. Het liefst heb je ruime ervaring opgebouwd binnen de douanewereld en beschik je over een scherp inzicht in de complexe regelgeving en procedures. Je blinkt uit in het zelfstandig beheren van complexe dossiers en speciale regelingen, waarbij nauwkeurigheid en integriteit voorop staan.

  • Proactief en oplossingsgericht: Je bent niet bang om verbeteringen voor te stellen en denkt in mogelijkheden, ook bij uitdagende vraagstukken.
  • Kennisdeler en teamspeler: Collega’s kunnen rekenen op jouw bereidheid om kennis te delen. Je bent geduldig en stimuleert samenwerking binnen het team.
  • Sterke communicatieskills: Je bent in staat helder te communiceren met zowel klanten als autoriteiten, waarbij je snel schakelt tussen Nederlands en Engels. Beheersing van Frans is een pluspunt.
  • Hands-on mentaliteit: Je steekt graag zelf de handen uit de mouwen en werkt efficiënt binnen nieuwe en bestaande systemen.
  • Expertise in compliance: Je hebt aantoonbare ervaring met douanewetgeving, compliance management en AEO-gerelateerde processen.
  • Technisch vaardig: Je beheerst Excel en relevante douaneapplicaties, waaronder CargoWise, Stream, SharePoint en NCTS, en bent nieuwsgierig naar verdere automatiseringsmogelijkheden.
