Head of Fintech & Digital Innovation
Position Overview:
The Head of Fintech & Digital Innovation leads the digital transformation initiative within the Financial Services Sector, reporting directly to the Chief – Financial Services Sector. This senior role is responsible for developing the organization’s digital strategy, overseeing the rollout of major technology-enabled projects, and shaping the organization's approach to new financial technologies. The position has a strong focus on aligning innovation with corporate strategic goals and ensuring the organization’s success as a forward-thinking financial hub.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Digital Strategy Roadmap, including capability and resource reviews, that supports the sector’s long-term objectives.
- Lead key digital innovation projects, ensuring their delivery within agreed standards, timelines, and budget constraints.
- Monitor, collect, and analyze market trends in digital banking and assets across competitive markets to identify opportunities and challenges in the sector.
- Engage and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, securing buy-in for digital strategies and ensuring effective collaboration across all stages of delivery.
- Identify opportunities within regulated markets, including supporting the development and positioning of both conventional and Islamic financial products.
- Support regulatory authorities through intelligence and facilitate external relationships with key regulators to advance digital financial initiatives.
- Drive policy development by initiating key dialogues and preparing policy papers for senior leadership and stakeholders, strengthening strategic direction.
- Guide digital marketing strategy development, ensuring alignment with the organization's innovation objectives.
- Apply advanced skills in corporate strategy, innovation management, stakeholder relations, strategic planning, and market analysis to steer transformation initiatives.
- Oversee complex, cross-functional teams and project management processes for all technology-driven change programs in the sector.

- Strong Analytical and Market Insights: You demonstrate expertise in market analysis, leveraging research and data to identify challenges and new frontiers in digital innovation, thereby shaping policy and business direction.
- Project and Change Management Expertise: You bring a rich history of managing ambitious projects within the realms of digital banking, digital assets, and technology-enabled business transformation, applying industry best practices for project execution.
- Inspiring People Manager: Although not mandatory, experience in leading and developing high-performing teams is highly valued, as is your ability to foster a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
- Effective Communicator: You possess outstanding communication skills in English and are skilled at conveying complex concepts clearly, whether engaging with senior leadership, regulators, or broader stakeholders.
