Senior Claims Handler operates at the forefront of claims management within the insurance sector, overseeing the complete lifecycle of insurance claims from initial notification through to final resolution. The role demands precision in analyzing and processing claims, ensuring accurate documentation and compliant handling at every phase.

  • Take ownership of all incoming claims, methodically assessing each case for coverage, eligibility, and completeness.
  • Deliver full-cycle claims management, executing tasks with attention to detail, legal requirements, and organizational processes.
  • Identify complex claim issues, propose and implement resolution strategies, and contribute to ongoing process improvements.
  • Ensure fast and reliable service delivery, always prioritizing the client’s interests and relieving the burden on insured clients.
  • Utilize strategic thinking to evaluate claim complexity, develop management approaches, and recommend optimal resolutions in line with company objectives.
  • Employ sound decision-making skills throughout the claim process, balancing organizational risk with high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain regular, clear communication with various stakeholders—including internal teams, insurance partners, and clients—to facilitate collaborative claims management and transparent updates.
  • Apply project management capabilities to organize claims activities, ensure timely progress, and meet required deadlines.
  • Perform all activities in compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, supporting robust risk management measures.

The role also involves process optimization to enhance claims handling efficiency and ensure sustainable delivery of services. High proficiency in English and Dutch is required to effectively interact in a diverse, multilingual environment.

Position OverviewThis role focuses on the accurate preparation and continual improvement of financial plans, forecasts, and financial management information within the insurance sector, with a strong emphasis on the Property & Casualty and Marine business lines. The position also advances the automation of financial reporting, utilizing tools such as Power BI and related financial systems.Preparation of comprehensive financial plans, cash forecasts, and analyses supporting senior strategic finance initiatives at both Group and Functional levels.Development, automation, and enhancement of financial and management reporting processes using Power BI and other platforms, aiming for increased efficiency and data accuracy.Preparation of entity management, statutory, and regulatory reports and accounts in compliance with industry requirements.Creation of supporting financial analyses and business modeling, accompanied by relevant narrative for the MS AISE entity, with particular focus on the Property & Casualty and Marine segments and their different business lines.Support to subject matter experts in key Financial Planning & Analysis areas to develop, adopt, and implement best-practice methodologies across the Group.Collaboration within the Financial Planning & Analysis team on business controlling and reporting responsibilities, ensuring rigorous standards in cost accounting and statutory reporting.Utilization of technical accounting knowledge and strong command of financial systems (such as CODA, Power BI, Oracle), as well as Microsoft Office tools for data handling and presentation.Liaison with internal stakeholders, providing actionable insights that help Finance meet its strategic objectives.The day-to-day environment is highly collaborative, often involving remote teamwork, and demands both analytical and presentation skills to translate data into meaningful business intelligence. Position Overview:Based in Brussels, this role involves overseeing a team of four accountants, ensuring optimal workload distribution, productivity, and compliance with internal procedures and company policies.
