The Head of Production - Haute Couture leads the atelier operations for a world-class couture maison, ensuring seamless daily execution, outstanding garment quality, and timely delivery. The role manages bespoke couture and bridal production, directly supervises a large multicultural team, and establishes a disciplined, high-performing work environment.
- Atelier Management & Production Oversight: Oversee all aspects of the couture production cycle, coordinating pattern cutters, tailors, and finishers.
- Workflow Planning & Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain structured production plans, benchmarks, and process controls. Continuously uphold excellence and uniformity in finish and fit, pre-empting risks, and managing issues to prevent production delays.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the operational bridge between design vision and atelier execution by liaising closely with the Creative Director, atelier manager, and all client-facing teams.
- Team Leadership: Structure, lead, and mentor the atelier team, establishing a robust chain of command. Foster team growth through training and best practice-sharing, while ensuring operational discipline and ongoing improvement.
- Continuous Improvement: Apply lean manufacturing and process engineering principles to drive production efficiency and optimize resource allocation. Conduct thorough risk assessments and proactively address challenges in the couture workflow.
