The IT Systems Engineer will play a critical role in providing technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems within the organization. Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the primary point of contact for local IT matters, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing user needs and coordinating on-site service escalations.
  • Monitoring and managing support requests, incidents, and escalations, keeping users and stakeholders informed of progress.
  • Investigating and resolving technical issues within their area of expertise, escalating complex problems to relevant teams or external service providers when necessary.
  • Monitoring application systems, identifying performance trends, and taking corrective actions to optimize system performance and prevent future issues.
  • Collaborating with development teams and software suppliers to enhance systems and address user requirements.
  • Providing end-user training and support for specific applications, ensuring users can effectively utilize available systems and tools.
  • Managing third-party vendor activities, including HSSE compliance, repairs, and maintenance of IT infrastructure.
  • Participating in IT operations and support activities across the broader organization as required.



Description du profil

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in IT systems engineering, with a strong background in SAP environments.
  • BAC+5 : Engineering school diploma or university diploma
  • Proven experience in end-user support and IT help desk operations, with a solid understanding of ITIL processes and call-logging systems.
  • Strong technical knowledge across various IT domains, including:
    • Hardware: Nutanix servers, Cisco & Aruba networking equipment, Lenovo desktops and laptops.
    • Operating Systems: Windows 11/12, Windows Server, MS SQL Database.
    • Security: Commvault, Carbon Black, Zscaler, FortiClient, BigFix, Fortigate Firewall.
    • Telecommunications: Aruba and Cisco switches, routers, and PABX systems.
    • Applications: Microsoft Office 365, Intune, FortiClient EMS, SharePoint, Teams, SAP GUI, Nexthink, CyberArk, SolarWinds, Citrix.
  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and time-management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional and multi-cultural teams.
  • Experience in global or virtual team environments and the ability to coordinate with multiple service providers.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and resolving critical IT issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

Role Overview: As a Senior IBM WebSphere ND & Liberty Cloud Engineer, you will oversee the management and modernization of a legacy WebSphere ND infrastructure, while serving as a subject matter expert in facilitating migration to the IBM Liberty cloud solution. This position requires a keen focus on delivering robust, scalable solutions and acting as a technology referent within a dynamic, cross-functional team based primarily in Belgium.Infrastructure Management: Maintain and optimize the existing IBM WebSphere ND platform, ensuring its stability and operational excellence across business-critical environments.Cloud Migration: Lead and support the transition of traditional WebSphere applications to IBM Liberty within a private cloud, working alongside architects, infra suppliers, and technology engineers to create a future-proof platform.Team Guidance: Guide and mentor a team of engineers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality support, incident resolution, and implementation in line with the group's technology roadmap and standards.Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal customers, service providers, and APS production support teams.
