Information Systems Engineer
The IT Systems Engineer will play a critical role in providing technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems within the organization. Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the primary point of contact for local IT matters, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing user needs and coordinating on-site service escalations.
- Monitoring and managing support requests, incidents, and escalations, keeping users and stakeholders informed of progress.
- Investigating and resolving technical issues within their area of expertise, escalating complex problems to relevant teams or external service providers when necessary.
- Monitoring application systems, identifying performance trends, and taking corrective actions to optimize system performance and prevent future issues.
- Collaborating with development teams and software suppliers to enhance systems and address user requirements.
- Providing end-user training and support for specific applications, ensuring users can effectively utilize available systems and tools.
- Managing third-party vendor activities, including HSSE compliance, repairs, and maintenance of IT infrastructure.
- Participating in IT operations and support activities across the broader organization as required.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in IT systems engineering, with a strong background in SAP environments.
- BAC+5 : Engineering school diploma or university diploma
- Proven experience in end-user support and IT help desk operations, with a solid understanding of ITIL processes and call-logging systems.
- Strong technical knowledge across various IT domains, including:
- Hardware: Nutanix servers, Cisco & Aruba networking equipment, Lenovo desktops and laptops.
- Operating Systems: Windows 11/12, Windows Server, MS SQL Database.
- Security: Commvault, Carbon Black, Zscaler, FortiClient, BigFix, Fortigate Firewall.
- Telecommunications: Aruba and Cisco switches, routers, and PABX systems.
- Applications: Microsoft Office 365, Intune, FortiClient EMS, SharePoint, Teams, SAP GUI, Nexthink, CyberArk, SolarWinds, Citrix.
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and time-management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional and multi-cultural teams.
- Experience in global or virtual team environments and the ability to coordinate with multiple service providers.
- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving critical IT issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
