- Spearhead consulting endeavors with a primary focus on ports and maritime, with potential expansion into the expansive realm of transportation and logistics.
- Scrutinize team-generated work to ensure precision and timeliness, adhering to defined scopes and budgets.
- Infuse hypothesis-driven thinking to steer team analyses, fostering the extraction of profound insights.
- Uphold credibility in analytical approaches, methodologies, and drawn conclusions.
- Collaborate with client counterparts to harmonize work plans and deliver well-informed recommendations.
- Facilitate seamless project conclusion, ensuring the handover of deliverables and results while formalizing the closure of consulting assignments with clients, Business Development, and Industry Leadership.
- Cultivate enduring advisor relationships with clients, transcending immediate assignments, and actively contribute to subsequent endeavors.
- Spearhead proposal crafting and marketing initiatives, actively participating in pitches to materialize prospective mandates.
- Keep abreast of dynamic trends, strategic positions of players, and evolving strategies in the regional maritime market.
- Craft and sustain intellectual capital, contributing thought leadership to fortify our standing in the port and maritime domain.
- Extend guidance and coaching to team members, nurturing a professional and productive team culture.
- Mentor team colleagues, formally or informally, fostering an environment conducive to high-performance teamwork.
- Manage internal benchmarks for quality, compliance, policies, procedures, and associated systems.
- A seasoned professional with 15 years of diversified experience, including 5-7 years in consulting with a leading global firm, preferably advising tier-1 organizations in the port and maritime sector within the Middle East.
- Relevant background in shipping lines, port operators, investment funds engaged in port concessions and vessel leasing, or in port authorities or governmental entities will be considered.
- Profound understanding of global supply chains for sea-transported commodities and awareness of national and public sector priorities across the GCC to bolster port competitiveness and hub positioning.
- Bonus points for experience in Ports Operations and Ports Infrastructure Planning.
- Expertise in strategy development, strategic transformations, capability-led transformations, strategy implementation, corporate governance, and operating models.
- Adept problem solver with a penchant for first-principle thinking. Strong analytical skills encompassing the collection, validation, structuring, and analysis of diverse data types (Financial, Operational, Market).
- Driven by results, resilient, and adept at mobilizing resources to maintain momentum in a fast-paced, high-energy team environment.
- Capable of thriving both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent communication skills, vital for navigating a multi-stakeholder environment.
- Open to and enthusiastic about frequent travel within the GCC and Middle East.
- Education: Masters degree, preferably an MBA from a reputable business school.
