Accounting Manager – (FR/NL)

This position is responsible for leading the Accounts Payable (AP) and GL accounting activities for a team of approximately 10 finance professionals based in Brussels. The manager will report directly to senior leadership, ensuring oversight and operational excellence in team performance.

  • Lead and coordinate all Accounts Payable processes and support GL accounting activities as needed for seamless financial operations.
  • Supervise and mentor a team, ensuring effective task delegation, follow-up, and continuous improvement in workflows.
  • Serve as a key contact for escalations and complex queries, providing clear guidance and solutions to internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Oversee accurate and timely financial reporting, collaborating with the team and interfacing with leadership for alignment on business priorities.
  • Support project management activities within the accounting function to drive improvements, implement new processes, and ensure compliance with company and statutory requirements.
  • Budgeting, reconciliation, and asset management involvement as part of broader accounting responsibilities.
  • Navigate bilingual (French/Dutch) communications, ensuring professional exchanges with both internal team members and external clients. French as the team’s main language and Dutch proficiency (minimum B2) required.
  • Enable a productive hybrid work environment: in-office presence with flexibility for remote work after the initial period.

  • Project and People Management: Naturally organized, structured, and proactive in managing projects and deadlines. Manages priorities and resources effectively to keep processes running smoothly without oversight from upper management.
  • Balanced Professional Experience: Has up to eight years of relevant experience, offering a mature yet agile approach. Not overly senior, but ready to assume responsibility for guiding a sizable team—without needing intensive training or support.
  • Open-Minded & Solutions-Oriented: Open to working with diverse mindsets and backgrounds, and able to diplomatically handle change or sensitive situations. Quickly adapts to evolving business needs and strives for continuous improvement.
  • Discreet and Responsible: Maintains confidentiality and demonstrates ethical judgment in all professional dealings.
  • High Commitment: Available to start as soon as possible, understanding the importance of stepping in promptly yet respecting standard notice periods. Demonstrates reliability and a readiness to take ownership from day one.

Junior Credit Risk Analyst

As a Junior Credit Risk Analyst, you are responsible for independently analyzing credit files and assessing the creditworthiness of (potential) clients in close collaboration with external credit insurers to minimize financial risk.Financial and Risk Analysis: Conduct detailed financial and risk analyses on received credit applications. Prepare and substantiate decisions regarding credit approvals and submit processed files for final approval, aiming to prevent defaults, fraudulent deliveries, and reduce debtor payment delays.Portfolio Monitoring: Control and analyze financial data, balance sheets, and budgets of ongoing cases. Decide on and communicate necessary adjustments to the solvency status of clients or dealers, maintaining portfolio risk within set guidelines and ensuring overall creditworthiness.Advisory Role: Serve as an advisor for leasing and credit requests.
