A long-established maritime group with a strong global footprint is looking to appoint a Finance Manager to support the transformation and centralisation of part of its finance operations from its Dubai office.

Operating across multiple locations and working within a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment, the organisation is recognised for its long-standing market presence, international exposure, and sophisticated operational structure. The role offers a unique combination of technical accounting, financial control, and finance transformation responsibilities within a multicultural environment.

This newly created position will play a key role in building and leading a regional Shared Services Center (SSC) while overseeing the finance operations of the Dubai entity. The role reports directly to Group Finance leadership (based in Dubai) and manages a small local team.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the creation, implementation, and management of an Accounting Shared Services Center
  • Supervise the full accounting and finance operations of the Dubai entity, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
  • Standardise, document, and optimise accounting processes and internal controls across multiple entities
  • Oversee monthly closings, reconciliations, financial reporting packages, and group consolidation submissions
  • Act as Finance Lead for ERP and finance systems projects, including implementation, optimisation, testing, and process improvements
  • Coordinate with international stakeholders, external partners, and local finance teams during finance transformation initiatives
  • Support the migration of accounting activities from external providers into the centralised finance structure

 

Profile:

  • 8–12 years of experience in accounting, financial control, or finance management roles
  • An Audit / BIG4 background is highly preferred, combined with in-house experiences
  • Strong hands-on accounting and financial reporting expertise within international and multi-entity environments
  • Proven experience participating in finance transformation and/or Shared Services Center projects
  • Hands-on experience with Sage X3 is highly preferred
  • Fluency in both French and English is mandatory
  • Candidates must already be based in the UAE
  • Ability to travel within Europe if required

We are partnering with a well-established international group to appoint a Group Financial Controller overseeing a portfolio of entities across Africa.Based in Dubai and reporting to the Group Finance Director, this role plays a critical part in safeguarding financial integrity across multiple countries and entities.
