Consultant, SAP (Functional - BPC)
Job Summary:
The SAP BPC Specialist is responsible for implementing the SAP BPC module, ensuring it aligns with best practices in terms of system configuration to provide users with cutting-edge technology that supports their goals. The role requires collaborating with the IT planning team, managing multiple projects simultaneously, gathering business requirements, and facilitating user training. This position also involves continuous process improvements, compliance with relevant procedures, and enhancing overall SAP functionality for optimal business outcomes.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple engagements concurrently, providing technical support and guidance.
- Assist the IT planning team during project evaluation phases and support project managers in developing and implementing project plans, including scope, deliverables, timelines, and resources.
- Conduct process design workshops to gather business requirements and identify best practices, translating them into well-defined, justified projects.
- Execute assigned project tasks, including communication with stakeholders, task group collaboration, system configuration, and supporting business users during testing cycles.
- Implement project activities following SAP Activate Methodology, ensuring project requirements are met.
- Provide business user support through incident management, change management, knowledge transfer, and documentation.
- Develop core skills, cross-functional expertise, and business knowledge, applying lessons learned to enhance future tasks.
- Engage with SAP organizations as needed to address specific business requirements efficiently.
- Ensure timely and high-quality deliverables that meet business satisfaction.
- Train departmental staff on SAP functionality, enabling independent module usage without constant reliance on technical experts.
- Improve departmental procedures, implementing necessary instructions and controls for efficient service delivery while adhering to procedural and legislative requirements.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental management procedures within the SAP domain to maintain employee safety, legislative adherence, high-quality service, and responsible environmental practices.
Position Requirements:
- Education: University degree in Engineering, Finance, Computer Science, or Management.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of SAP-related experience, preferably within large industrial or utilities organizations.
- At least 2 years of experience specifically in SAP BPC.
- Proven track record of working with users to define business processes and functional specifications.
- Experience in training users in system operation.
- Professional Certification(s): SAP functional certification/accreditation in the relevant SAP module.
