Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee end-to-end accounting processes from daily bookkeeping to monthly and yearly closings, focusing on the General Ledger (GL).
  • Manage cost accounting and fund accounting tasks related to pension funds in collaboration with two team members specialized in these areas.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, frequently held in Dutch, and work with documentation often provided in Dutch. Full bilingualism is not required, but strong comprehension of Dutch is important.
  • Contribute to a mid-sized team (8 people) where French and Dutch are the primary working languages.
  • Deliver prompt and accurate support on financial closings without the need for extensive onboarding or training, leveraging prior experience in a fiduciary environment or similar accounting roles.
  • Coordinate with colleagues, share knowledge, and support collective goals in a flexible, people-oriented PME atmosphere.
  • Work primarily between 9:00 and 17:00, benefiting from partial remote work (up to three days per week), with easy access by public transport (no parking provided).

Remuneration and Benefits:

  • Salary dependent on experience, with a maximum of €4,500 gross monthly and meal vouchers of €8/day.
  • Additional fixed expenses allowance, group and hospitalisation insurance, pension fund contributions, reimbursement of public transport at 100%.
  • 25 holiday days plus the possibility of 10 extra days and a 13th month.

The role supports growth and development within a human-scale, collaborative environment, where familiarity with both French and Dutch is highly valued to engage with team discussions and documentation.

Description du profil

We are looking for candidates who thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy contributing to a close-knit team of finance professionals. The ideal candidate is someone who values the human aspect of the workplace, appreciates being part of a medium-sized company where people care for each other, and seeks stability as well as the flexibility to take initiative and work independently.

  • Multilingual Communication: We welcome candidates who are not fully bilingual but have a solid understanding of Dutch, as numerous meetings and documentation are in Dutch. A proactive effort to use and further improve your Dutch skills within the team is greatly appreciated. Fluency in French and good command of English are also essential to integrate smoothly and communicate effectively across the team.
  • Relevant Experience: A strong track record in General Ledger management and end-to-end accounting (preferably with fiduciary exposure) is a must. Hands-on experience in fund and cost accounting will enable you to hit the ground running. Due to current workload, we seek professionals who are already at ease with these responsibilities and can adapt quickly, as there is little time for in-depth training.
  • Team Spirit: We value individuals who are approachable, collaborative, and open to learning—not those with a “know-it-all” attitude. Fitting into our supportive team culture is essential. We favor those who are ready to lend a hand, exchange ideas, and who value respectful, direct communication, regardless of language preferences.
  • Adaptability and Reliability: You should be comfortable adapting to changing priorities, especially during busy closing periods, while maintaining accuracy and composure. Flexibility in working hours and hybrid work arrangements is part of our offer, and we appreciate candidates who are equally flexible and reliable in their approach.
  • Professional Maturity: We are a diverse team with varying ages and backgrounds. Candidates with the maturity to work well both independently and as part of a team, and who understand the importance of discretion, accuracy, and integrity, will be highly valued.
  • Motivation for Growth: Our environment enables employees to rapidly gain new responsibilities and grow into more senior roles. We are looking for candidates who are motivated to expand their expertise and take ownership of their personal development.

If you seek a respectful, flexible, and supportive environment where your initiative is recognized and your work-life balance is respected, you would excel with us.
