Junior Credit Risk Analyst
As a Junior Credit Risk Analyst, you are responsible for independently analyzing credit files and assessing the creditworthiness of (potential) clients in close collaboration with external credit insurers to minimize financial risk.
- Financial and Risk Analysis: Conduct detailed financial and risk analyses on received credit applications. Prepare and substantiate decisions regarding credit approvals and submit processed files for final approval, aiming to prevent defaults, fraudulent deliveries, and reduce debtor payment delays.
- Portfolio Monitoring: Control and analyze financial data, balance sheets, and budgets of ongoing cases. Decide on and communicate necessary adjustments to the solvency status of clients or dealers, maintaining portfolio risk within set guidelines and ensuring overall creditworthiness.
- Advisory Role: Serve as an advisor for leasing and credit requests. Provide information on new developments, policy changes, and their potential implications, centralizing questions and issues for consistent, accurate handling.
- Financial Forecasting: Prepare financial forecasts, guarantee gaps, and consolidations to establish future outlooks and provide a reliable basis for financial recommendations to senior management and finance teams.
- Financial Calculations and Optimization: Perform financial calculations and investigate variances to support the continuous improvement of financial analysis processes.
Key skills for this role include: solid knowledge of credit and financial analysis, accounting (including GAAP), and reporting. Proficiency in Dutch and/or French is required, with strong written and verbal English skills.
This position requires at least a bachelor’s degree in Finance and offers valuable early-career experience in credit risk and corporate banking within a supportive and benefits-rich environment.

- Strong academic background: Holding at least a bachelor’s degree in Finance, a solid understanding of accounting fundamentals, and familiarity with financial reporting and credit analysis.
- Knowledgeable and eager to learn: Prior exposure to financial analysis, credit assessment, and the intricacies of financing and leasing contracts, combined with a willingness to deepen skills and stay up-to-date with industry developments.
- Multilingual communicator: Comfortable working in French or Dutch at a professional level, with confident English skills (spoken and written), ensuring clear communication across teams and with external stakeholders.
- Meticulous and reliable: Recognized for their attention to detail, accuracy in processing and analyzing financial information, and discretion in handling sensitive matters.
- Proactive advisor: Naturally collaborative, providing clear, well-founded financial advice and serving as a resource for colleagues and management on credit and leasing queries.
- Problem-solver: Enjoys identifying variances, analyzing causes behind financial discrepancies, and proposing constructive solutions that contribute to optimizing financial assessments and minimizing risk.
