Legal Manager | ICT
We are currently looking for a Legal Manager for one of our clients in IT infrastructure.
You will lead the legal function within a dynamic IT consultancy environment where innovation, digitalisation, and customer focus drive organisational success. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing legal policy, overseeing the legal team, managing legal risks, and providing expert guidance on complex legal matters.
You will collaborate closely with management, procurement, sales, and delivery teams, as well as external partners, to ensure the organisation operates in a compliant, secure, and contractually robust manner within a competitive digital market.
Your work will span contract negotiations, corporate governance, compliance frameworks, and risk mitigation across multiple business functions and geographies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain legal policies and frameworks that align with organisational strategy and regulatory requirements
- Lead and manage the legal operations, providing guidance, and performance oversight
- Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and compliance risks across the organisation
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, service agreements, and procurement documents
- Provide strategic legal advice to management and business units on corporate law, commercial matters, and data protection
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards
- Manage dispute resolution processes and coordinate with external legal counsel when necessary
- Oversee corporate housekeeping, including corporate governance, documentation, and statutory compliance
- Support procurement processes with legal expertise and contract management
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners, regulators, and stakeholders
Candidate Profile
Our client is looking for an experienced legal professional with a strong foundation in IT law, contract law, and commercial negotiations.
You bring a strategic mindset, pragmatic problem-solving approach, and the ability to translate complex legal concepts into actionable business guidance.
You are a natural leader who can build and is driven by leading projects, communicate effectively across all organisational levels, and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Experience & Expertise Required:
- Master's degree in Law
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in an in-house legal department or law firm environment
- Strong expertise in commercial contracting & IT procurement
- Demonstrated knowledge of compliance frameworks, risk management, and dispute resolution
- Interest in and understanding of procurement processes and legal implications
- Fluency French & a good command of Dutch
