Financial Controller
A insurance company is seeking a Financial Controller to reinforce its Finance department.
The role involves analyzing variances between forecasts and actual results, and providing recommendations for corrective actions. The Financial Controller supports the Head of Finance in monitoring the profitability and solvency of the organization and its subsidiaries. Direct reporting is to the Head of Finance, with close collaboration alongside the accounting team—providing support during peak periods or staff absences.
- Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts, ensuring effective budgetary control across activities.
- Create and maintain management tools and dashboards to facilitate decision-making for the executive team.
- Prepare internal management reports as well as required external reporting for industry bodies and regulators.
- Lead and manage finance-related projects specific to the organization, or provide finance input for transversal projects.
- Conduct financial analysis to drive process improvements and optimize resource allocation.
The position requires solid expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and the regular use of financial controlling tools. Knowledge of solvency analysis or accounting software such as Simply Accounting is considered advantageous. The ability to work fluently in French is essential; proficiency in Dutch is beneficial for the role.

- Financial Qualifications: You have a background in financial controlling, with expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. Familiarity with insurance regulations (such as Solvency I) and practical accounting tools is advantageous.
- Communication: You are fluent in French, able to collaborate seamlessly with your team and stakeholders. Proficiency in Dutch is also appreciated.
