Teamlead Mechanical Design

Lead and inspire a highly skilled team of mechanical engineers to deliver top-quality designs for advanced sputtering equipment at Soleras. Key duties include coaching team members to support their professional development, aligning individual capabilities with specific project objectives, and fostering a culture built around open communication, continuous improvement, and shared ownership.

  • Define and implement design rules and best practices for consistent, high-quality project outcomes.
  • Ensure projects employ modular, scalable, and technically robust design principles throughout all phases.
  • Oversee the planning, prioritization, and execution of multiple concurrent design projects, carefully balancing timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Monitor project progress, anticipate challenges, and make timely adjustments to maintain momentum from concept to delivery.
  • Establish and oversee structured review and approval processes for all mechanical designs and associated technical documentation.
  • Work closely with production and manufacturing teams to integrate design for manufacturing principles—ensuring designs are practical to produce, straightforward to assemble, and compliant with all quality standards.
  • Utilize AutoCAD 3D and other advanced tools to drive precision and innovation in engineering workflows.

The role demands experience with complex mechanical systems design and production engineering in a machine-building context, combined with strong leadership and project management abilities. Occasional travel (10–15%) may be required to coordinate with teams and stakeholders. Fluency in English is essential for facilitating effective team collaboration and communication.

Candidates will ideally hold a Master’s degree in (Electro)Mechanical Engineering or possess equivalent experience. A strong background in mechanical design engineering, preferably in machine-building settings, is highly valued. You bring proven experience with AutoCAD 3D, project management, process design, and technical documentation. Your approach combines initiative, foresight, and a willingness to travel occasionally as needed.

Junior Mechanical Design EngineerAs a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will contribute to the entire lifecycle of machinery projects, from initial concept through to production. You are responsible for design and engineering, supporting prototyping, testing and verification, production tooling, documentation, and quality control—all while ensuring adherence to quality and timeline requirements. Senior Automation Engineer

As a Senior Automation Engineer, you are responsible for PLC machine control and SCADA programming for new hardware and target manufacturing machines.
