Gentis is a Belgian recruitment company headquartered in Brussels and providing permanent staffing as well as project sourcing solutions worldwide in multiple sectors.

Our client is looking for a new Legal Counsel. In their legal department, they are looking for new legal counsel to work on a new and exciting project.

The job :


You formulate proactive legislative recommendations based on literature and industry relevance. You anticipate trends and adjust regulations accordingly. You promote collaboration between all companies. You participate in benchmarking, analysis and reporting, contributing to various improvement projects. You take decisions to ensure effective communication between stakeholders, and implement project results by adapting regulations. You are the internal point of contact for relevant legal issues and contribute to the development and implementation of training courses.


Description du profil


  • have a master in law.

  • of social legislation management, benchmarking or social secretarial experience a plus.
  • knowledge of Belgian Railways structure and services, an asset.

Risk & Contract Manager

FunctieomschrijvingAls Risk & Contract Manager binnen de bouwsector bent u verantwoordelijk voor het beheer van risico’s en contractuele verplichtingen over de volledige looptijd van omvangrijke projecten, variërend van utiliteitsbouw tot infrastructuur en industrie. U zorgt voor een optimale beheersing en bewaking van alle juridische en financiële aspecten van het project, vanaf de voorbereidingsfase tot en met de uitvoering.Risicobeheer: Identificeren, analyseren en opvolgen van risico’s in lopende bouwprojecten. U vertaalt risicoanalyses naar concrete beheersmaatregelen en houdt deze up-to-date gedurende het projectverloop.Contractmanagement: Opstellen, analyseren en controleren van contractuele afspraken met opdrachtgevers, partners en leveranciers. U waarborgt een correcte naleving en bewaakt de belangen van de organisatie.Wijzigingen en claims: Coördineren van wijzigingen in projectafspraken en beheren van dossiers met betrekking tot claims, schadegevallen of afwijkingen. U houdt alle relevante documentatie nauwkeurig bij.Ondersteuning bij onderhandelingen: Actieve ondersteuning bij contractonderhandelingen en bij juridische geschillendossiers in samenwerking met juridische collega’s.Samenwerking: Nauw overleg met projectmanagers, de juridische afdeling en financiële diensten om het gewenste projectresultaat te garanderen.Deze rol vereist een scherp oog voor detail, sterke juridische kennis en een gestructureerde benadering bij het beheren van contracten en risico’s. Compliance Officer – Belgian Financial Sector

Position Overview:This role involves ensuring strict adherence to Belgian corporate law and financial sector regulations within a leading bank based in Brussels. The successful candidate works with the compliance & regulatory affairs team on governance, risk assessment, and legal advisory matters. Effective communication in Dutch, English, and French across internal and external stakeholders is vital.Key Responsibilities:Oversee and maintain corporate governance frameworks in line with Belgian legal requirements.Conduct comprehensive compliance management, reviewing practices and policies within the bank.Evaluate and report on organizational risks, supporting risk mitigation strategies relevant to the Belgian financial industry.Provide legal advisory services to internal departments on matters impacting regulatory compliance and business operations.Stay updated on changes in Belgian corporate law and ensure timely adaptation of compliance procedures.Collaborate in the development and continuous improvement of internal compliance policies and training materials.Communicate complex compliance issues clearly in Dutch, English, and French to various stakeholders.Prepare detailed reports on compliance status and legal risk management for leadership and regulatory authorities.The scope of this position is essential to protect the organization’s integrity and support its long-term goals within the regulatory landscape of Belgian banking.
