Interim Head of Financial Analysis & Planning
Position Overview:
This senior role within the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function is responsible for leading the organization’s strategic planning initiatives. The position delivers strategic input to executive leadership, focusing on optimizing financial outcomes and supporting business decisions through detailed financial insight and scenario analysis.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and drive the execution of strategic financial plans, ensuring their alignment with the organization’s short- and long-term objectives.
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to evaluate performance trends, identify opportunities, and assess risks across multiple business units.
- Lead budgeting processes, including consolidation, review, and iterative forecasting, to support decision-making and resource allocation.
- Prepare, review, and deliver clear financial and management reporting, translating complex data into actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Oversee detailed cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning to ensure financial stability and support organizational growth initiatives.
- Design and implement robust stress testing scenarios to evaluate financial resilience under variable market and operational conditions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic finance projects and ensure strong communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Where relevant, apply motivational leadership techniques to mentor finance teams and promote best practices in strategic financial planning.
Required Skills and Expertise:
- Proven expertise in financial analysis, including ability to interpret and synthesize large data sets for strategic decision-making.
- Advanced proficiency in financial reporting: preparation, consolidation, and presentation of complex financial statements and management reports.
- Comprehensive experience managing corporate budgeting processes and delivering dynamic forecasts.
- Solid background in cash flow forecasting and liquidity management within a senior finance context.
- Advanced knowledge and practical application of financial stress testing methodologies.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; experience in engaging effectively with a wide array of stakeholders is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to provide motivational leadership within a finance department is a plus.
Language Requirements:
- Professional proficiency in English, French, and Dutch for effective internal and external communications.

- Stakeholder Orientation: Communicates effectively and confidently in English, French, and Dutch with senior management, regulators, and other stakeholders. Able to adapt messaging for diverse audiences, ensuring clarity and impact.
- Professional Integrity: Upholds the highest standards of professional ethics, discretion, and confidentiality, especially when dealing with sensitive financial information and regulatory requirements.
