Gentis is a Belgian recruitment company headquartered in Brussels and providing permanent staffing as well as project sourcing solutions worldwide in multiple sectors.


For one of my client, I am currently looking for a Head of Accounting in Brussels.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals.
  • Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors and regulatory agencies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and strategic initiatives.


Description du profil

Your Profile:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

The CFO plays a pivotal role in steering a company’s financial strategy and ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory and accounting frameworks. Deliver financial insights and strategic recommendations that support high-quality executive and board-level decision-making.Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure the company’s financial operations adhere to regulatory, accounting, and internal control requirements. Accounting Manager – (FR/NL)This position is responsible for leading the Accounts Payable (AP) and GL accounting activities for a team of approximately 10 finance professionals based in Brussels.
