Legal Advisor | Construction law
We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join and strengthen a dynamic legal team within a leading international group.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Legal Manager and collaborating with a network of legal professionals, you will play a key role in supporting the company’s business activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing contracts with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and business partners, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and internal policies.
- Developing, updating, and improving contract templates and other legal documents to support business operations.
- Monitoring contract execution and assisting with the prevention and management of disputes when necessary.
- Providing legal support on projects involving construction contracts, joint ventures, and public procurement matters.
- Conducting legal research and monitoring regulatory developments in areas such as contract law, commercial law, and public procurement, while sharing relevant updates with internal stakeholders.
- Contributing to the preparation and delivery of internal legal training and awareness initiatives.
- Advising business teams on ethics, compliance, and corporate governance matters in line with group policies and standards.
Your Profile
- Master’s degree in Law.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in commercial law and/or contract law, gained within a reputable law firm or a corporate legal environment.
- Experience in construction law, public procurement, or as in-house counsel is considered an asset.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice.
- Experience in contract review and adaptation, including the use of AI-powered legal tools, as well as strong negotiation skills.
- Proactive, autonomous, detail-oriented, and client-focused mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in French; knowledge of Dutch and/or English is considered an advantage.
