IT Technician – Event Operations
Core Purpose of the Job
The IT Technician is responsible for the seamless execution of IT operations and support for all programs and events managed by the Operations Division. The role involves hands-on technical preparation, real-time support, and post-event follow-up, ensuring robust IT infrastructure and services at both headquarters and event locations.
Scope of Responsibilities
- Event Preparation: Assess and coordinate internet bandwidth, review hotel RFPs for technical adequacy, ready and ship necessary IT kits, test VPN and RDP ports, prepare backup equipment, and liaise with on-site IT contacts.
- Event Setup: Install required network and Wi-Fi kits, confirm operational readiness of backup IT provisions, and execute comprehensive technical checks prior to event commencement.
- Event Management: Launch and monitor essential event platforms (like Zoom), check internet speeds and redundancy, validate AV systems such as projectors and microphones, maintain back-up power for wireless equipment, manage technical escalations, and ensure reliable session recording quality.
- Post-Event Management: Conduct inventory reviews of deployed IT assets and generate detailed incident and performance reports for team analysis.
- HQ Management: Assist HQ teams with IT maintenance and process development, supporting both infrastructure and cloud networking requirements.
- Additional Tasks: Provide further technical support as assigned by the Operations Manager.

Language Requirement
- Professional proficiency in English is required for documentation and communication with local and international stakeholders.

- Technically Proficient: The right candidate will possess a solid understanding of network administration, Cloud and on-site infrastructure, and telecommunications, especially regarding enterprise-level routing, VPNs, TCP/IP networking, and IPS configuration. Experience with event-driven setups and hybrid event technology is highly valued.
- Collaborative and Reliable: Success in this role requires a team player with a dependable work ethic who is always willing to assist across functions and respond promptly to requests. A customer-focused mindset and a willingness to support non-IT colleagues with their technical needs are equally important.
- Adaptable and Resourceful: Candidates should exhibit flexibility to work across multiple locations or adjust to changing event requirements. We seek individuals who can efficiently manage resources, coordinate logistics for IT equipment, and ensure reliable backup systems are in place.
