Supplier Quality & Process Engineer
Position Overview:
This role is responsible for process control within an engineering environment, with an emphasis on implementing and optimizing manufacturing and process engineering initiatives. The position’s scope covers the analysis, development, and improvement of production processes to ensure effective quality assurance and operational efficiency. Key duties center on applying best practices in continuous improvement, standardizing processes, and managing quality management systems in a manufacturing context.
Main Functions & Responsibilities:
- Process Control: Monitor and oversee daily manufacturing processes, ensuring adherence to established standards, and respond to process deviations with corrective actions to maintain optimal production quality and efficiency.
- Process Engineering: Analyze existing process workflows; recommend and implement enhancements using lean methodologies such as the Kaizen method to drive continuous improvement across production lines.
- Develop and maintain process documentation in line with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) protocols, contributing to the ongoing reliability of processes and production outputs.
- Coordinate regular quality control assessments, utilizing robust inspection methods and data analysis to identify trends and prevent quality issues before they escalate.
- Support the implementation and audit of Quality Management Systems, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and sustained operational excellence.
- Contribute to the standardization and optimization of methods engineering processes, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and product consistency.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects, including 5S workplace organization, and adopt structured problem-solving techniques to achieve measurable performance gains.
- Engage with component and manufacturing engineering tasks as needed, supporting production teams in implementing technical solutions for complex manufacturing challenges.
Required Skills:
- Extensive experience with Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives in an engineering/manufacturing environment
- In-depth knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and robust process documentation practices
- Strong background in quality control procedures, statistical process analysis, and preventive action implementation
- Skilled in the application and management of Quality Management Systems
- Familiarity with method engineering, component engineering, and 5S methodology for workplace organization
Languages:
- English: Full professional proficiency required for all documentation and technical communication
- French: Intermediate proficiency for operational communication and technical discussions
- German: Basic proficiency beneficial for reference and collaboration
