Job description
  • Provide expert legal advice to business teams on a range of transactional corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters.
  • Assist the General Counsel in preparing, reviewing, and negotiating various agreements, such as services contracts, partnership agreements, while offering support throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Support the General Counsel in managing and administering the group’s employee share incentive plan, as directed.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments, customers, suppliers, and consultants to resolve legal queries within set deadlines or escalate them to the General Counsel as needed.
  • Work alongside the team to develop, update, and implement new template agreements, policies, and legal procedures, ensuring adherence to all legal processes.
  • Prepare memos and notes providing reliable, commercially focused legal advice for business-related technology projects.
  • Manage the roster of external counsel and oversee the quality of work performed by these legal service providers.
  • Offer general legal advice and support, including conducting research, providing legislative updates, and assisting with compliance matters.
  • Deliver training to business teams on legal, regulatory, and compliance issues as required.
  • Manage the renewal of trade licenses in coordination with the legal coordinator.
  • Coordinate with external counsel and public authorities on various legal matters.
  • Draft notices of default and collaborate with law firms on civil cases.
  • Provide legal support on group-wide projects and other business divisions, analyzing legal issues and handling additional tasks as assigned.
Profile description
  • Common law qualified lawyer with a strong academic background.
  • 4-7 years of legal experience with a reputable law firm, preferably with experience in corporate and commercial law.
  • Familiarity with the regulatory environment in the UAE and international jurisdictions.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong legal research and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural and diverse team environment.
