Product & Activation Marketing Manager – GCC Retail
Job Description
This is not a traditional marketing role. You will play a central role in structuring commercial solutions and enabling revenue growth for a fast-growing retail activation and promotional solutions company operating across the GCC. Your focus is on productizing what the company sells. Shaping the commercial offering itself, rather than simply marketing existing products. You will work at the intersection of retail strategy, shopper marketing, promotional mechanics, and digital & in-store activation, operating in an entrepreneurial, high-ownership, and commercially driven environment. Your day-to-day work involves collaborating with Sales, Creative, and Operations teams to develop structured solutions, build compelling commercial toolkits, train internal stakeholders, and drive measurable business impact through strategic activations and performance analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Productize promotional and activation solutions into structured, repeatable offerings
- Build and maintain comprehensive sales toolkits and commercial decks that enable the sales team
- Train and support the sales team to effectively communicate and sell activation solutions
- Lead trade marketing activations across both digital and physical channels
- Identify and evaluate commercial opportunities aligned with retail calendars and market dynamics
- Assess performance, ROI, and margin impact of all activations and promotional initiatives
- Coordinate seamlessly across Sales, Creative, and Operations teams to deliver integrated solutions
Candidate Profile
We are looking for candidates with a deep background in shopper marketing or promotional marketing within the GCC region. You bring a commercial mindset, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to think strategically about what drives retail success. You are a skilled communicator and storyteller who can translate complex promotional mechanics into compelling narratives for both internal teams and retail partners. You thrive in hands-on project management, are comfortable with ambiguity, and possess the entrepreneurial drive to shape solutions rather than simply execute them.
Experience & Expertise Required:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Shopper Marketing, or Promotional Marketing (GCC experience is mandatory)
- Agency background strongly preferred
- Proven exposure to and understanding of modern trade retailers.
- Strong presentation and storytelling skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
- Hands-on project management experience with ability to juggle multiple initiatives
- Analytical and commercially driven mindset with focus on ROI and performance metrics
- Arabic language proficiency is a strong advantage
Qualities & Work Approach:
- Commercial acumen and entrepreneurial thinking, you see opportunities where others see constraints
- Structured problem-solving approach combined with creative flexibility
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
- Attention to detail with ability to manage complexity and deliver polished outputs
- Proactive and self-directed; comfortable taking ownership of outcomes
- Adaptability in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
In this role, you will directly influence the company's commercial direction and revenue trajectory. Success is measured by the strength of your product offerings, the effectiveness of your sales enablement, and the measurable impact of activations you lead.
