Database Administrator (MySQL)
Primary Duties and Key Responsibilities:
- Design, install, configure, and maintain MySQL database systems in OCI and GCP environments.
- Perform regular database performance tuning and optimization.
- Monitor and ensure the availability and integrity of database systems.
- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies.
- Collaborate with other team members to design and implement database solutions for FinTech applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with database security policies and best practices.
- Provide guidance and support to developers on database-related matters.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a MySQL DBA.
- Strong understanding of database architecture and principles.
- Proficiency in SQL and database performance tuning.
- Experience with database security best practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience in the financial technology (FinTech) industry is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of MySQL database architecture, configuration, and administration on platforms like Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), GCP, and Azure.
- Familiarity with backup and recovery procedures.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
