Data Science Manager
We are seeking an experienced Data Science Manager to lead our client's data science team and drive data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, exceptional leadership abilities, and a passion for leveraging data to solve complex business challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership:
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of data scientists and analysts.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
- Project Management:
- Oversee data science projects from conception to execution, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to integrate data science solutions into business processes.
- Strategy Development:
- Collaborate with senior management to define the data science strategy and align it with organizational goals.
- Identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business improvements.
- Technical Expertise:
- Provide guidance on data modeling, machine learning algorithms, and statistical analysis.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data science and AI.
- Communication:
- Communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders clearly and effectively.
- Prepare reports and presentations to share findings with leadership and other departments.
- Performance Monitoring:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of data initiatives.
- Continuously monitor and refine data science processes and methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in data science or analytics, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Proven track record of successfully managing data science projects and teams.
- Preferably experience in Fintech or related industries
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
