Financial Controller
For one of our clients, a leader in the banking market, we are looking for a financial controller with a master's degree in the insurance sector to join a great team.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Develop Financial Tools: Create and improve financial analysis tools, frameworks, and methodologies for strategic planning in P&C and Health.
- Strategic Planning: Lead the dynamic strategic planning process, initiate actions, and make recommendations to meet objectives.
- Business Reviews: Prepare for business review meetings, consolidate technical/business issues impacting P&L for analysis.
- Market Analysis: Monitor market and competitor information in P&C and Health, perform relevant analyses for top management.
- Project Participation: Contribute to projects to achieve profitability, control expenses, and improve service quality.
- Complex Financial Analysis: Conduct and validate complex financial analyses to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Budget and Control: Oversee the budgeting and financial control processes, challenge financial data, and make recommendations.
- Project Portfolio Management: Track P&C and Health transformation projects, update business cases and KPIs to align with financial assumptions.
Profile:
- Education: You have a master's degree in finance, management, economics or a quantitative discipline (actuarial science, mathematics).
- Experience: You will have at least 5 years' professional experience in a financial analysis role.
- Sector knowledge: You will have a good knowledge of the insurance sector, particularly P&C.
- Analytical and Strategic Skills: You have a rational and analytical mind, with a keen sense of figures and a strategic vision.
- Communication: You communicate clearly and concisely, highlighting causal links. You are able to translate technical concepts into accessible terms.
- Adaptability and resilience: You are persistent, able to work in emergency situations and adapt to management needs.
- Collaboration and listening skills: You have a keen sense of collaboration and are a good listener.
- Discretion and confidentiality: You are discreet and respect the confidentiality of information handled.
- Languages: You have a perfect command of French or Dutch and an excellent knowledge of English. Active knowledge of the second national language is an asset.
