Associate Manager – Technology & Cyber Risk (UAE National)
Job Description
The Associate Manager – Technology & Cyber Risk is responsible for assessing cyber, technology, digital, and operational resilience risks across a portfolio of organizations. This role combines technical expertise with strategic risk analysis to identify vulnerabilities, evaluate control environments, and drive continuous improvement in an organization's risk posture. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with stakeholders across multiple business units, translate complex technical and risk concepts into actionable insights, and support the development and implementation of robust risk frameworks and governance structures. Day-to-day activities include conducting comprehensive risk assessments, analyzing emerging threats and trends, reviewing control effectiveness, preparing detailed reports and recommendations, and overseeing remediation initiatives to ensure organizational resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct technology and cyber risk assessments across a portfolio of organizations, identifying vulnerabilities, gaps, and areas for improvement
- Review and evaluate governance structures, control environments, and operational resilience frameworks to ensure effectiveness and alignment with industry standards
- Analyze data, risk trends, and emerging threats to inform strategic risk management decisions and support proactive risk mitigation
- Prepare comprehensive risk reports, executive summaries, and actionable recommendations for senior management and stakeholders
- Oversee and monitor remediation activities, tracking progress against agreed timelines and ensuring closure of identified risks and control gaps
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand business objectives, risk appetite, and operational constraints
- Support strategic initiatives and process improvements related to technology risk, cybersecurity, and operational resilience
- Contribute to the development, refinement, and documentation of risk assessment frameworks, methodologies, and best practices
- Provide technical guidance and subject matter expertise on technology and cyber risk matters to support organizational decision-making
- Work with risk assessment tools, data analytics platforms, and reporting systems to gather, analyze, and present risk information
Candidate Profile
We are looking for candidates who bring a strong foundation in technology risk, cybersecurity, or operational resilience, combined with excellent analytical and communication skills. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, detail-oriented, and capable of translating complex technical concepts for diverse audiences. They demonstrate strong stakeholder management abilities, a collaborative approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to continuous learning in the rapidly evolving risk and cybersecurity landscape. Experience & Expertise Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, Business, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in technology risk, cybersecurity, audit, compliance, governance, operational resilience, technology consulting, or similar risk-focused environments
- Demonstrated experience conducting risk assessments and evaluating control environments
- Proficiency with data analysis, risk assessment frameworks, and reporting tools
- Knowledge of technology risk, cyber risk, and operational resilience principles and practices
- Familiarity with governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) concepts and frameworks
