Data Manager – Quality & Governance

Join a dynamic hybrid environment that combines the agility of a scale-up with the stability of a large corporate group. The Data Manager – Quality & Governance will have a pivotal role across business and technical domains to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and strategic use of data.
- Guarantee data accuracy, completeness, and usability for all business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Product teams to define and implement data-driven functionalities that add tangible business value.
- Work alongside technical teams to industrialize data use cases, streamline processes, and optimize operational workflow.
- Act as the central reference for company data knowledge, promoting data literacy and alignment across the organization.
- Define rules for data structure and usage based on business needs and technical constraints, ensuring scalable and reliable data management.
- Analyze and explore data sets to uncover actionable insights that support strategic business decisions.
- Identify and manage evolving data requirements for operational use, while coordinating integration of new data sources as needed.
- Contribute to data governance by helping define data-related roles, maintaining up-to-date documentation, and ensuring robust control over key data assets.
- Perform ongoing data quality checks, detect anomalies, and communicate updates or corrections throughout relevant teams.
- Manage relationships with internal and external data providers to ensure data delivery is consistently aligned with business objectives.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive data quality framework that upholds high standards of accuracy and compliance.
- Support the operational monitoring of the data platform to ensure reliability and availability of critical data services.
- Play an active role in data modeling in line with best practices for modern data warehouse architecture.
Expected Technical and Domain Expertise:
- Solid background in data analysis, data governance principles, and business intelligence.
- Technical proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL, and ideally Databricks.
- Experience with team collaboration and project coordination in cross-functional initiatives.
- Practical understanding of data structuring, quality, and documentation processes.
- Familiarity with retail industry data management challenges is valued.
- Fluent communication in English is essential; strong proficiency in French is highly desirable.
