Principal Scheduler
Job Objective:
Assist the project manager and/or Program PCM in managing project planning systems and procedures, including schedule development and execution, update analysis and maintenance, monitoring, and reporting on major projects. Apply best practices in planning and scheduling, monitor schedules of multiple projects, verify resource loading, and validate durations.
Confirm activity sequences and margins in the schedule, as well as maintaining up-to-date baseline schedules. Guide the project manager, PCM that planning precedes scheduling. Contribute to the development of new techniques or standards and have significant latitude in defining mission objectives and approaches. Interact with internal and external personnel on major matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed project plans.
- Monitor and control planning activities of all JSTEPS.
- Communicate with lead engineers, project engineers, construction managers, and quality engineers for report update needs.
- Coordinate with cost controller all necessary progress measurement based on resource loading hours.
- Develop procurement plan (according to strategy), construction schedule L3, and testing planning if feasible. Capable of coordinating levels L4/L5 with construction contractors
- Guide less experienced planners in best practices. Coordinate and align with WBS & AWP structure estimation.
- Resource loading of project schedules, leveling, analysis, and production of staffing histograms to support projects. According to WBS and/or AWP
- Bachelor’s or Marster’s degree in engineering or Industry
- Minimum 12 years of overall experience on large-scale industrial construction projects, preferably in the oil or gas sectors, petrochemicals, chemicals, mining, or civil engineering.
- Minimum 8 years of planning experience on multidisciplinary and international projects.
- Fluency in English is mandatory for this position, knowledge of French is an asset.
- This position is open to all qualified individuals worldwide, interested in expatriating and working in southern Morocco.
