Operational Risk IT Officer
As an Operational Risk IT Officer within a leading financial institution, you are responsible for managing and controlling IT-related risks and supporting compliance across the organization. The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure robust risk management and operational resilience.
- Identify and analyze IT risks associated with cloud solutions, AI applications, outsourcing arrangements, and software licensing agreements.
- Support risk assessments to ensure compliance with GDPR, business continuity requirements, and fraud risk prevention measures.
- Develop action plans for remediating IT and operational risks and actively drive follow-up with relevant stakeholders.
- Lead internal compliance certification initiatives and coordinate necessary documentation and procedures.
- Serve as a point of contact for governance of software and cloud usage, advising teams on mitigation strategies and regulatory obligations.
- Contribute to contract management, including negotiation and optimization with external IT suppliers and partners.
- Enhance awareness of operational risk and compliance topics through targeted internal communications and training sessions.
- Monitor new regulations and evaluate the impact on internal processes, ensuring ongoing alignment with industry best practices.
This position requires a solid understanding of IT environments (including cloud structures and outsourcing models), risk evaluation, audit processes, regulatory compliance (notably GDPR), and contract negotiation. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite is essential. Fluency in French and English is required; Dutch is considered an asset.
